Family,
We had a great week. We didn’t get to teach a ton with transfers and some other stuff, but we are seeing such great progress with the people in this area. Ya know I don’t know if it is just a mission but, if you are obedient, diligent and have faith, you see so many stinkin little miracles it’s crazy. We are seeing so many people doing such great things, it’s fun to see, it makes me want to see more, I think I’m feeling a little greedy. We are teaching a family, i told you about last week, the K family. The kids came to church this week, they loved it! Mom is going to come but she has a crazy work schedule and she is just going to have to dig down deep, toughen up and come to church. We have been working with another family the entire last transfer, the B family. The grandma and Son have been at church 4 weeks in a row, and we are teaching 4 of her grandkids (that are her sons kids) and they all want to get baptized and come to church. Before we even taught them the kids were doing "bible study" with the gospel principles manual, they are fun to teach. Then we had another brother in the branch, Bro S. He has been less-active for a while and he came to church this week. Then a man we have really come to love, Bro S has come 4 weeks in a row and missionaries have been trying to get him to come for a long time. He’s a great guy, he has some type of mental health issues, he is super OCD, and just lacks a lot of self-confidence, but Elder Morris and I have spent a lot of time with him, and we have grown to love him. He’s really funny, one time we decided to help him clean his house (it’s a wreck). He loves to read, and has like a thousand books, but one of his books looked like it had been through a hurricane, fire, tornado, and his dog but he would not let us throw it away, so we kept that one. But when he isn’t looking we will throw away stuff like newspapers from 10 years ago and Watchtower magazines (it’s a Jehovah witness magazine), if he is looking we can’t throw anything away. He absolutely LOVES Glen Beck, so we brought a cd about his conversion and listened to it with him. So ya things are going well, I’m excited i didn’t even want to have P-day I’m ready to go out and work, but i do like P-day. Oh ya, so I’m still with Elder Morris....and Elder Tran, it’s his last transfer. We are in a trio, trio's kinda stink, they are hard so there is lots to learn. It’s funny, I’m white, Morris is black, and Tran is Chinese (he’s not from china, he’s from New York). It’s funny though, we just need a Hispanic and we got it all covered. We also took on a new area because there used to be two companionship's in the Thomaston branch, but next transfer they will bring in another set. Mom no i didn’t get your talk yet, and yes i would love some more pictures. How are Grandpa and Grandma doing? Will you give them a birthday present from me,….., thanks. Tell Darren to tear it up for me (skiing), Dad should get him a pass to Targhee. You did tell me that Cody and Avery had their baby. Tell the Spence family I said hello, also can you tell me what the Russon family’s address is? What is with this Brice character getting married and I haven’t heard a word from him yet, tell him that he’s not married yet and still needs to take time for me and write me a letter. Mom you are awesome to help Joe like that! That kind of service is sharing the Gospel and if we want to be saved in the Celestial Kingdom, we must share the Gospel. You’re awesome Mom!!! I love all of you, "keep on keepin on"!

Elder Hendrix

Ps: oh ya, wow it’s been a whole year, crazy!
